The classic parquet installation
The most common installation geometries are regular straight laying and irregular straight laying, more commonly called random laying. Both installation geometries can be created with elements parallel to the walls or diagonally. The irregular straight laying for the diagonal, for example, is particularly suitable for camouflaging walls that are out of square.

The regular fstraight laying is carried out with single elements of the same dimensions, width and length, arranged lengthwise so that the head connections correspond to alternate rows and occur in the same centre line or in a constant position with respect to the lists of the previous row. This type of installation allows you to obtain a floor suitable for any type of environment, a true evergreen that never goes out of fashion and which gives a regular and tidy appearance to the floor. A regular straight laying is the one created “in sisters” where the boards of the same size are placed side by side with the head and end joints matching.
In irregular straight laying or straight laying, however, the individual elements have the same width but different lengths and are installed so that the butt joints occur in completely irregular positions. This laying geometry allows you to obtain an original and asymmetrical effect. To date it is the most used laying geometry.
