Company

The love for wood, constant technological research and attention to Made in Italy are the values that have allowed Garbelotto to achieve excellence in the production of a vast range of wooden floors and accessories.

Our History

Parchettificio Garbelotto was born from the resourcefulness of Giacomo Garbelotto who, in 1950, transformed his sawmill into a factory for the processing of wooden floors. Thanks to numerous market requests, the business was then expanded by his son Salvatore until the turning point in 1987 when Antonio, Salvatore’s son, took over the company and founded Parchettificio Garbelotto srl. Antonio, with great passion, still leads the company today together with his wife Renza Altoè and his son Marco, with the aim of guaranteeing parquet of excellence, innovative, sustainable and above all 100% Made in Italy. Garbelotto today is a market leader in the production of parquet and a point of reference for many projects of national and international importance

The birth of the company

Giacomo Garbelotto, always a craftsman of wooden clogs, transforms his business and becomes a manufacturer of laminated parquet. A shrewd visionary, Giacomo had his company built close to the Meschio river to exploit its current and transform it into energy. Furthermore, to speed up the installation of the slats, he “pre-glues” them onto sheets of old newspaper.

Transformation in industry

Salvatore Garbelotto implements the production lines and personnel. Together with his son Antonio and his father and founder Giacomo, he began a phase of profound transformation of the company, which went from being a family business to a truly established industry in the sector.

The Parchettificio Garbelotto srl foundation

Renza Altoè joins her husband Antonio at the helm of the company and together they effectively found the company Parchettificio Garbelotto srl. New production plants are built in Cappella Maggiore.

The production of pre-finished parquet

Parchettificio Garbelotto begins producing pre-finished parquet in addition to the classic solid wood version.

The birth of the Garbelotto group

Antonio and Renza founded the Garbelotto Group, made up of the companies Masterfloor, WoodenFloor, Vito and the financial company GarFin. Furthermore, the company begins to present its products at national and international trade fairs. Two years later, a project for the implementation of production lines, factories and increasingly qualified personnel began. Thanks to investments in technology, Garbelotto begins to produce parquet in large formats, guaranteeing a 100% Made in Italy product.

Implementation of new lines and patents

Despite the great economic crisis of 2008, the company continues to invest in research, development and technology. These were years in which many new lines were created which enriched the Garbelotto catalogues. 8 years later Garbelotto was awarded various prizes and recognitions, such as Domotex Innovations for the patents of HI-TECH products with the rubber joint, the insertion of “murrine” in parquet floors and the invention of the modular herringbone.

Clip Up System®

The Clip Up System® glue-free installation system is born, a patented solution that has become increasingly successful over time, becoming the choice of Archi stars, important designers and promoters of the circular economy.

Made in Italy

For years now, we have chosen to focus on certified quality to guarantee our customers an excellent product. This allows us to create products that combine beauty and elegance with technical and production characteristics recognized by the relevant certification bodies, in compliance with community regulations, the environment and above all Made in Italy.

Procurement

We pay particular attention to responsible sourcing of raw materials, capable of safeguarding the environment and nature. We produce parquet exclusively with first-certified materials coming from controlled reforestation areas.

Design

The R&D office continuously studies new ideas capable of generating new visual and tactile sensations. Collaborate with the technical office to create unique, innovative floors capable of arousing new and refined emotions.

Drying

The drying process occurs meticulously and carefully. We use the latest generation vacuum ovens to increase the speed and quality of the process and we are able to guarantee drying carried out to perfection.

Bonding

The gluing of the slats to the support takes place in a punctual and controlled manner using cutting-edge roller presses. The hot glue, called “hot melt”, is of the latest generation and is ideal for making production processes more efficient and ensuring protection and durability for all Garbelotto parquet floors.

Cutting and calibration

This is one of the most delicate steps where it is important to be precise to the tenth of a millimetre. Cutting-edge machinery, such as diamond-tipped cutters, work under the strict supervision of specialized personnel to achieve the best possible result.

Finish

At Garbelotto, in addition to standard product configurations, we create custom projects to meet and satisfy the different needs of customers. We work the surface according to requests and recommend the right Green Building finish.

A 4 generation long story that tells of the love for wood

Sustainability

We are the first and only EPD certified parquet factory in Italy, a certification that attests to the eco-sustainability and compatibility of Garbelotto products with the specifications of green building projects, helping to raise the BREEAM, LEED and WELL classes, international certifications established to evaluate, analyze and classify buildings from an environmental, energy and occupant well-being point of view. Furthermore, they represent a tool to encourage the design, construction and management of smarter and more sustainable buildings.

The continuous search for improvement

At Garbelotto we have always been committed to the continuous improvement of the products offered nationally and internationally.
The research and development department works daily to create sustainable, refined and technologically advanced solutions. Over the years we have registered various registered trademarks as well as exclusive Garbelotto models and patents, such as the Clip Up System® solution which optimally combines design and practicality.

Production also evolves with the solutions offered: the modernization of machinery, the connectivity of internal infrastructures and the optimization of process control and supervision activities represent fundamental aspects for us for the creation of the desired finished product.

Immersed in beauty and culture

The Garbelotto parquet factory was born in a strategic position, immersed in the wonder of the UNESCO sites of northern Italy. Between the Dolomites and Venice, immersed in the hills of Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene, the beauty and harmony of these places has always contaminated the history of our Parchettificio, amplifying and stimulating the continuous search for perfect design.
